From April 28 to 30 the Asian Parajudo Championship will be held in Astana at the Martial Arts Palace named after Zhaksylyk Ushkempirov

From April 28 to 30, the Asian Parajudo Championship will be held in Astana at the Martial Arts Palace named after Zhaksylyk Ushkempirov.

More than 100 athletes from 11 Asian countries will take part in the competition. Based on the results of the competition, world ranking points are awarded. The peculiarity of these competitions is that for the first time they are held jointly with the IJF (International Judo Federation).

The competitions are organized with the support of the Paralympic Judo Federation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Culture and Sports, the Akimat of Astana and Sport Qory.

Among the athletes who will defend the honor of the country at the competitions, the team includes parajudoists from the capital.

It should be noted that this Asian Championship has a license to participate in the XVII Summer Paralympic Games Paris 2024.
