March 28, 2023 at the Martial Arts Palace named after Zh. Ushkempirov in Astana hosted a republican tournament on Kazakh kuresi "Theater Barysy-2023", dedicated to the International Theater Day.

The main goal of the competition is the development of national sports in the country's theaters and the popularization of Kazakh wrestling.

Let us note that the main organizer of the tournament is the musical theater of young spectators in Astana.
